FAQs

  • We get it—there are a lot of terms and names in the massage world that can feel a bit overwhelming. To make it easier, check out the services page on our website for quick descriptions of what we offer. Still not sure? No problem! You can call or text us anytime with questions.

We will assist you in finding the right service for your needs and goals, and we love taking a collaborative approach to every session. Let’s work together to create something that feels just right for you.

  • Please arrive 30 minutes early for your first appointment. This extra time allows you to complete the necessary medical release paperwork and have an in-depth conversation with your therapist about your goals, intentions, and specific needs. This discussion helps us tailor your session to ensure you get the most out of your experience.

We recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing that is easy to change in and out of, so you can relax fully during your session. Additionally, it’s important to hydrate well for at least 24 hours before your treatment. Proper hydration helps prepare your body for the benefits of massage and supports the detoxification process afterward.

  • Some treatments are performed fully clothed, while others require direct access to the skin. No matter the modality, we recommend wearing comfortable, relaxed, and non-restrictive clothing to help you feel at ease throughout your session.

  • In most cases, massage and bodywork can be tailored to suit individual needs, preferences, and circumstances. However, there are certain contraindications that must be addressed with your therapist before your appointment.

If you are experiencing an acute illness, we recommend postponing your session until you are feeling better. For acute injuries, please discuss them with your therapist in advance so we can determine the best course of action.

In some cases, a medical release form may be required before receiving massage. Conditions that might require prior approval include cancer treatment, chronic illness, skin conditions, or other significant health concerns.

Your safety and well-being are our top priorities, and we are committed to providing care that meets your unique needs.

  • Massage can be a profoundly healing experience for the body, mind, and spirit, but we understand that it requires vulnerability and trust. Your safety, comfort, and boundaries are our top priorities, and we hold your trust in the highest regard.

Unfortunately, there are cases in the industry where clients’ boundaries have been disrespected, leading to discomfort and a breach of trust. We unequivocally condemn such behavior, as it disrespects both the sacred nature of this work and the professionalism required in a therapeutic relationship. We strive to set a standard that goes far beyond the minimum ethical requirements to ensure every client feels safe, respected, and heard.

    Our Commitment to Your Safety

We take every precaution to create a safe and supportive environment, including:

    • Clear Communication & Informed Consent: We empower clients to voice their needs, preferences, and concerns during the intake process, throughout the session with appropriate check-ins, and after the treatment.

    • Secure and Modest Draping: Your modesty is protected at all times with proper draping techniques. Only the areas being worked on will be uncovered, and we will always seek your consent before proceeding.

    • Professional Boundaries: We strictly adhere to a code of ethics that goes beyond state requirements, ensuring no secondary or inappropriate touch occurs.

    • Energetic and Physical Preparation: Our space is intentionally prepared to foster a safe and clean environment, promoting healing and trust.

    • Respect for Power Dynamics: We acknowledge the natural power dynamic that exists in a practitioner-client relationship. Boundaries will be clearly established, upheld, and revisited as needed to ensure mutual respect and comfort.

    If You Feel Uncomfortable

We encourage you to use your voice at any point during the session if something feels uncomfortable—whether it’s related to pressure, technique, positioning, or even the flow of the session. You can request an adjustment, pause, or stop the session altogether. Your feedback is always welcomed and respected without question.

Our ultimate goal is to honor the sacred and healing nature of this work, providing you with a safe space where your boundaries are not only respected but celebrated. Please don’t hesitate to let us know how we can make your experience as positive and supportive as possible.
